Gialova has a rhythm. It doesn’t follow a fixed calendar — it follows the season. The first warm days of April bring the village back to life. Summer runs at full pace. September settles into something quieter and, honestly, better. The flamingos return in autumn.

Along the way, there are local celebrations, festivals in Pylos, open-air evenings, and the small events that happen in a village that has people in it all year round — not just in July and August.

Martin's Events

We host and participate in local events throughout the season — from small community gatherings to larger happenings around the bay. This page will be updated as events are confirmed. Check back, or better yet, follow us on Instagram and Facebook where we announce events as they come together.

Some things we’ve been part of in the past, and things we’re planning:

  • Seasonal openings — when the rental season begins in spring, we mark it. When the store is fully stocked and the scooters are ready, that's worth celebrating.
  • Local festivals and feast days — the Messinian calendar has its celebrations, and we're part of the community that runs them.
  • Nature events — flamingo season, the first sightings of the African chameleon in the lagoon, birdwatching walks through the Natura 2000 wetland.
  • Summer evenings — Gialova in summer has an energy that doesn't need a formal event to feel like one. We'll let you know when something's worth showing up for.
